Missions
Donnelly Bible Church is involved in missions and outreach. We support individual missionaries domestically and abroad. And we have outreach programs for the local community such as our food pantry (The Grainery) and our wood ministry.
Wood Ministry
Our wood team is made up of volunteers from our church. They work throughout the summer to cut, split and stack cords of wood to be given out to our community. We are always looking for downed trees to be donated so we can turn them around to help others! If you are interested in helping us prepare for winter or if you need a portion of wood to sustain you, please contact our church office! Colossians 3:17
Food pantry
We are open weekly on Thursdays between 4:00pm and 5:45pm. Our goal is not only provide food for anyone in need, but to provide spiritual support through prayer and encouragement! We receive donations from local grocery stores as well as operate on donated funds through our church and generous supporters! If you'd like to support this ministry, please click the photo to learn how to do so!
Jason and Julie McClanahan
Jason and Julie serve at Shiloh Bible Conference. A local camp here in Donnelly! Jason serves as the Office Manager, but is really one of the "go-to" guys at camp! He drives one of the busses to pick up the kids for camp, helps in the kitchen, aids in camp projects and makes sure all admin areas are handled!
Julie serves with her daughter, Kylie, as a Timothy Camp coordinator. Julie has been involved with Shiloh since she was 8 years old. She has served Shiloh as a part of "Crew" (the earliest form of Timothys), a summer missionary, and now lives in Donnelly full-time with her family to work as a missionary at Shiloh Bible Conference.
The Shiloh staff are all full-time missionaries who raise their own support. Having
full-time missionaries at Shiloh allows the camp to keep the cost at a very affordable price. This wouldn't be possible without the generous support of our donors.
Troy and Melody Rankin
The Rankin’s mission is to impact the next generation for Christ by serving and supporting both Shiloh and other Christian camps around the country. It is the goal that there would be no obstacles distracting anyone from focusing on the message of God that they hear at camp. Keeping the emphasis on Christ, not the flickering light bulb or malfunctioning heater is the objective. To that end, they have been serving at camps around the country fixing toilets, painting, building, cooking, and generally doing any and every thing that camps need done to be able to serve the campers well.
While they may not be at Shiloh year round, summers spent serving there are the highlight of the year for the whole family. The vision and mission of Shiloh is what started the spark in their hearts for camp ministry. They feel blessed and honored to be able to come alongside Shiloh as traveling missionaries to further that Biblical mission both at Shiloh and throughout the country.
Mike and emily Crase
Mike serves as the Executive Director of Shiloh Bible Conference. He oversees all aspects of camp. He also serves wherever there is a need, from driving busses to being a camp counselor, or serving in the kitchen to cleaning the facilities, there is nothing he wouldn't do for the kids!
In addition to what Mike can offer Shiloh, his wife Emily has a passion for serving and currently homeschools their children. She is heavily involved in camps throughout the year and is an active volunteer at Donnelly Bible Church!
Brent and Genevieve Halvorsen
Brent Halvorsen is excited to serve with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Nampa, Idaho, and globally. In his role as a traveling aircraft maintenance technician, he often serves MAF programs spread around the world. His desire is to help bring the light of Christ to the far reaches of the earth as seen in John 1:5.
In the summer of 2021, Brent was introduced to Genevieve at church by a mutual friend, and after his return from a month in DRC, they started talking in earnest. They were engaged in spring and married in the summer of 2022.
Genevieve currently works in the Plant Sciences Group at the J.R. Simplot Company in Boise, Idaho. Her passion is to demonstrate God’s love to others through acts of service, and she looks forward to developing closer relationships with her local church family, gaining a deeper understanding of Christian fellowship, and serving those in her community as a reflection of God’s love.
God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in the Halvorsen’s ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a ministry partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
